Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a boating license to rent a pontoon boat?
If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, you’ll need a valid Florida Boater’s Safety Card. Those born before this date can operate the pontoon with just a valid driver’s license and our comprehensive safety orientation.
How many people can fit on your pontoon boats?
Our 2024 Godfrey pontoons accommodate up to 10 passengers, including children and babies. The total combined weight limit is 2,100 pounds for safety purposes.
What popular destinations can I visit during my rental?
You’ll have easy access to famous Crab Island, pristine sandbars perfect for swimming and relaxation, and the stunning sugar-white beaches along the Emerald Coast. Our location at Marina Bay Resort puts you minutes away from these top attractions.
What’s included with my pontoon rental?
Each rental includes initial fuel, USCG-approved life jackets, all required safety equipment, pre-trip orientation, and docking assistance from our experienced staff. We also offer optional lily pad rentals as an add-on.
Can we bring food and drinks on the pontoon?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring snacks and beverages. Alcohol is permitted for guests 21 and older. Please note that glass containers are not allowed for safety reasons.
What happens if the weather is bad on my rental day?
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll provide a full refund or reschedule your trip at no additional cost. We monitor conditions closely and will contact you if any changes are necessary.
How far in advance should I arrive for my rental?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This allows for check-in, safety orientation, and ensures you get the maximum time on the water. Free parking is available on-site.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds or credits with 48 hours advance notice. Cancellations must be made by phone – we don’t accept cancellations via text or email. No-shows are charged the full rental price.
Is there an age requirement for the boat operator?
The person operating the pontoon must be at least 21 years old and present a valid government-issued ID. We also require a $200 security deposit per vessel at check-in.
How long are your rental periods?
We offer flexible rental options including half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) rentals, giving you plenty of time to explore everything the Emerald Coast has to offer.
